Elizabeth Carty, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Carty, was born in Ridgely, Caroline Co., MD on 20 April, 1821. She never married but we know she had at least one child. It is said that the father of this child was Howard HARDCASTLE and indeed, the Hardcastle family lived nearby.
