Amanda Coker Carney

Amanda E. Coker, the daughter of Moses Coker and Mary Ann Dean , was born in Cheswold, Kent Co., DE on 24 February, 1891.

She married Clem Carney on 10 April, 1913. Clem who was born into the Kent Co. community on 29 August, 1869, the son of Robert Carney and Mary Cott. He was immortalized in C.A. Weslager's Delaware's Forgotten Folk as an infamous teller of tall tales, along with his brother-in-law, Nate (Nathan) Coker.

Amanda and Clem had the following children:

Amanda died in November 1963 , Clem died on 26 May, 1958. Both are buried at Immanuel Union (Manship) Church in Cheswold, DE.
