Mary Ann Coker was the daughter of James Coker and Eliza JACKSON. She was born in Kent Co., DE on 9 September, 1844. She married John H. Morgan , the son of William H.Morgan and Annie Saunders. They lived in Kenton Hundred, Kent Co., DE
John Morgan was a farmer. He and Mary Ann lived on a farm along the old Rt. 13, on land he purchased from the estate of Robert Dean . Mary Ann's brother, Moses Coker, married Robert Dean's daughter, Mary Ann Dean.

Mary Ann died on 20 September, 1923, John on 21 January, 1925; both are buried at Immanuel Union (Manship) Church in Cheswold, DE.
Mary Ann's death certificate lists her race as "colored", her parents as "John" Coker (should be James) and Eliza Jackson and the cause of death as "fractured hip and general debility". The undertaker was Calvin Clark , himself a Nanticoke from Sussex Co. who, as undertaker in Kent Co., buried many of the community members.
