Hester/Esther Concilor was born in Kent County DE. She was the daughter of Jeremiah Concilor (d.1811) and his wife, Elizabeth. Her name appears sometimes as Esther, sometimes as Hester.

On August 29, 1814 "Esther" Concilor married Jesse Dean. Her uncle, Benjamin Concilor, signed the marriage bond. We do not know much about this Jesse Dean. Clearly he was a member of the mixed blood Dean family of Kent Co. and he was probably related to Jesse Sr. (son of James Dean) and Jesse Jr. (son of Jesse Sr.) of Little Creek Hundred but we do not yet know the relationship.

Esther and Jesse Dean had the following children :
