Rebecca Cott was born in Kent County DE on August 24, 1843, the daughter of John D. Cott and his wife, Sarah Ann Dean. On January 11, 1866 she married Cornelius Ridgeway , the son of William Ridgeway and Deborah HANZER. Cornelius was born on March 28, 1843 in DE, possibly Sussex County. See The Ridgeway Family Bible

Cornelious Ridgeway died in Dinah's Corner, Kent County, DE on March 31, 1918. He was buried at Immanuel Union (Manship) church in Cheswold. Rebecca died on May 15, 1913.
