Jeremiah Durham was born in Kent Co. DE on 26 April, 1862. He was the son of Benjamin Durham and Sally Ann Hansor . In 1883 he married Lydia Munce who was born in Kent Co. on 4 October, 1865. Lydia was the daughter of Isaiah Munce and Elmira Carty . In fact, two of Jeremiah's brothers, Enoch and Clement, also married daughters of Isaiah and Elmira.

Jeremiah died in Bridgeton, NJ in 1936. He is buried in Fairfield Twp., Cumberland Co., NJ. His wife, Lydia, followed him in 1945. She is buried at Forest Grove 7th Day Adventist Church near Cheswold, DE.
