Mariah "Minnie" Durham
Mariah "Minnie" Durham was born in Kent Co. DE on 27 May 1873. She was the daughter of Benjamin Durham and Sally Ann Hansor . Sometime around 1890 she married Shadrick "Sherry" Carney who was born 27 May, 1870, the son of Charles "Sherry" Carney and Mary J. Carter, both from Maryland.

Minnie and Sherry Carney had the following children :

  2. Lizzie Carney (Oct. 1895- ) married Calvin Seeney
  3. Helen Carney married William Durham
  4. Mary Carney (1905-1946) married Linwood Coombs(1903-1965)

  5. Dorothy Carney married Horace Carney, Jr.
  6. George Carney married Lucy Carney
  7. Goldie Carney married Agnes Carney
  8. Wilson Carney (Aug. 1898- )

Minnie died in Kent Co. on 7 November, 1921. She is buried at Immanuel Union (Manship) Church in Cheswold, DE. Her husband, Sherry Carney, died on 6 June, 1933 and is buried next to her.
