Whittenton Durham
Whittenton Durham was born in Kent Co., DE sometime before 1757. He was the son of John Durham and Elizabeth Hewes .

In 1776 he appeared in the administration papers for his deceased brother, John Durham, Jr. along with his father, John Durhm Senior and Daniel Durham.

He appeared in the 1785 Kenton Hundred Taxables List which included Little Creek Hundred indicating he continued to live in the general area with his family. But by 1788 he was listed in the Duck Creek Hundred Tax Lists.

He was mentioned in the will of his father in 1788 and he appeared in the reconstructed 1790 Kent Co. census records.

Whittenton died in 1793. His estate papers mention that his widow, Ruth, renounced her rights to the estate and it was administered by James Morris. The estate was valued at 132 pounds, 10 shilling & 3 pence and the accounts mention: Benjamin and Isabelle Durham. These may have been his children. They appear later in the 1797 will of Whittenton's brother, William Durham, so perhaps they were left in his care.
