By 1788, their grandmother Johannah had re-married Saunders Oakey and moved to Sussex Co. Elizabeth, chosing to stay in Kent Co., petitioned the Orphans Court for another guardian . The Kent Co. Orphans Court Records list Elizabeth Handsor, a minor above the age of 14, daughter of William Handsor, deceased, petitioning for a guardian. William Pierce was appointed.
There is no record of what became of Elizabeth's sister, Jemima. She is not mentioned in the Orphans Court Records with her sister so it is possible she was older and married although that seems unlikely. She seems to have disappeared after being mentioned in the 1785 will of her grandfather.
In 1791, Elizabeth is back in Orphans Court applying for another guardian.
Sometime between 1791 and 1793 , Elizabeth married Benjamin Durham . Benjamin had been married before but he and Elizabeth had the following children:
Much of Jolly's Neck Farm had been sold off before reaching Elizabeth, but she and Benjamin lived on the remaining portion until Benjamin died in 1810 and Elizabeth followed c. 1815. Jolly's Neck farm continued in the Durham family until Elizabeth's grandson, Benjamin Durham II married Sally Ann Hansor, herself a descendant of the original owner.
