Very little is known about William. He died sometime in 1784. His wife's name was Bridget.
The fact that his children were left in the care of his parents would suggest that they were orphans but the 1800 Sussex County DE census shows a "Bridget Hanzor" living in Indian River Hundred in an enclave of numerous Hanzors (over 43 counted on pages 437 & 438). If this was William's widow, she obviously believed that her children could be better provided for up in Kent County with their grandparents. Jolley's Neck was still a fairly substantial holding in 1785.
There is no indication of why Elizabeth and Jemima were singled out as beneficiaries of their grandfather's estate if there were other children or grandchildren.
