John Morgan
Per the census records, John Morgan was born sometime around 1815 in Delaware. It is not clear how he was related to James Morgan or William Morgan but they were all members of the same Kent Co. mixed blood community and of the right age to have been brothers. In the 1840 Kent Co. census records John, William and Samuel Morgan were all living in the same area.

A John Morgan is also listed in the estate accounts of Jesse Dean in 1839/40.

By the 1840 Census, John (born between 1804-16) was married with 4 children: 2 sons (born between 1816-1830) and 2 daughters (born between 1830-40). Among these was Catherine Morgan . We know nothing about John's wife, although Catherine's daughter, Annie Dean Mosley, told C. A. Weslager that Catherine's mother was a white woman.

In the 1850 Dover Hundred, Kent Co. census records, living next door to William Morgan we find John Morgan (age 34) living with his wife, Mary (age 32). No one else is listed in the household but nearby we find Catherine Morgan (age 16). Since we know Catherine's father was named John, it is highly probably that this John and Mary were her parents.

The proximity of William and John Morgan in 1850 again strongly suggests that they were related, possibly brothers.
