James K. Morgan
James K. Morgan was born in Kent Co., DE on 4 July, 1851. He was the son of William H. Morgan and Annie Saunders. Sometime around 1876 he married Araminta Sisco , daughter of William and Araminta Sisco from DE.

There was an old family tradition that Jim K. and his brother were carpenters who went up to Philadelphia to work on the Centennial Exposition where they met, and later married, Araminta Sisco and her sister who were from Lancaster Co., PA. My work on the Siscos, however, indicates that Araminta and her siblings were all born in Delaware. However, Araminta's sister, Isabella Sisco, did marry Isaiah Durham who was James' step-brother, the son of William and Mahala Songo Durham Morgan.

James ("Jim K.") was a carpenter. He and Araminta lived in Cheswold DE and had at least 8 children:

James K. died at 4 AM on 10 October, 1931. His death certificate lists his race as "colored" , his occupation as "carpenter" and his parents as William H. Morgan and Annie Sanders. The cause of death was chronic nephritis with an enlarged prostate. He and his wife, who had died on 3 September 1917 are buried at Manship Church in Cheswold, DE.
