Angelina Munce Dean

Angelina Munce was born in Kent Co., DE on 25 November 1843. She was the daughter of Robert Munce and his wife, Jemima Hansor.

On 30 July 1863 she married Enoch M. Dean who was the son of Jesse Dean, Jr. and Hester Ann Carney.

Enoch and Angelina moved to Cumberland Co., NJ around 1870-74 and they appear in the census records living in Fairfield Township, Cumberland Co., NJ. They then moved to 2 Cherry Street, Bridgeton, NJ.

Enoch and Angelina had the following children:

  1. Benton Dean (b.after 1866)
  2. Clara Dean (b. after 1866)
  3. Eliza Dean (b. after 1866)
  4. Elizabeth Dean (b. after 1866)
  5. Francis Dean (b. after 1866)
  6. James Dean (b. after 1866)
  7. Valerie Dean (b. after 1866)
  8. Will Dean (b. after 1866) , married Eliza Driggins
  9. Enoch Dean Jr. (5 August, 1870 - 19 December 1951) married Victoria Jones
  10. Irving Dean (b. 1874) married Ann Morgan
  11. Arthur M. Dean (b. 1875)
  12. Lydia A. Dean (b. 1878)
Enoch died in Bridgeton, NJ on 5 January, 1914 and Angelina three years later on 1 February, 1917. Both are buried at the Swing Cemetary, also known as the Old Stone Church off Back Neck Rd. in Fairton, NJ.

Angelina's death certificate lists the cause of death as bronchial pneumonia. It lists her father's name as Robert "Munson" and her mother's name as Jemima "Okes or Okea", not "Hansor".
