Sometime around 1861 she married Nehemiah Morris Sammons and they had, at least, the following children:

- James Sammons (1873- )
- Arwell (?) Sammons (Sept. 1875 - ) married Mary Elizabeth Clark on October 28, 1896
- Perry T. Sammons (1877- ) married Bertha Dean on January 11, 1907
- Lillie M. Sammons (Oct. 1879- ) married Harry Wright on February 10, 1904
- William Garfield Sammons (May 1882- ) married Ella Durham
Mary Elizabeth died on 8 November, 1914. Her husband, Nehemiah, died on 11 March 1924. Both are buried at Immanual Union (Manship) Church in Cheswold, DE. Their grave marker says they were parents of 6 boys and 6 girls but I do not have their names.
