Sussex on Delaware:

In the Name of God Amen. William Hanzar of the County of Sussex being very weak in body but of Sound mind and memory thanks be given unto God, Calling to mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Die do make and ordain this my Last will and Testament that is to say Principaly and first of all I give and Recomend my Soule unto the hand of All mighty God that Gave and my Body I recomend to the Earth to be buried in a decent Cristen manner at the Decresssion of my Executor Nothing Douting but at the General Resurrection I Shall receve the Same again by the mighty Power of God and touching Such wourly Estate where with it has pleased God to Bless me in this Life I Give Devise and Dispose of the Same in the following manner and form.

ITEM: I give and bequath to my Eldest Son David Hanzar one oald Gun to be freely Enjoyed by him and his heirs for ever.

ITEM: I give and bequath to my Son Thomas Hanzar all my land that I am possess of to be freely Enjoyed by him and his heirs for ever.

ITEM: I give and bequath to my Son Peter Hanzar one Bed and furnertur the Bed that is called Peters to be freely Enjoyed by him and his heirs for ever.

ITEM: I give and bequath to my well beloved wife Jane Hanzar my best Bed and furnertur to be freely Enjoyed by her and her heirs.

ITEM: I give and bequath to my grandchildren one Shilling Starling a peace that is to say Aaron Hanzar, Lobello Hanzar, Thomas Hanzar, Elise Hanzor, William Hanzar, Nehemiah Hanzar, Cary Hanzar to be freely Enjoyed by them and their heirs.

ITEM: My will and desier is that after my Just Debts and (unclear) is paid that the Residue of my Cleare estate be eqully Devided between Elizabeth Roals, Agnes Hanzar, Easter Hanzer, Jane Rigsworth, Ann Salmons to be freely Enjoyed by them and their heirs.

ITEM: I do hereby make Constitute and apoint my well beloved son Thomas Hanzar my onely and Soal Executor of this my Last will and testement Ratefying and Confirming this my Last will and testement Revoaking and Dissanuling all other wills here to fore by me maid Confirming this and no other to be my Last will and Testement in Wittness heare of I have heare unto Sett my hand Seal this Twenty Six Day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty four - 1784.

SUSSEX COUNTY: MEMORANDUM: This 22nd December 1801 Before me Phillip Hollock Register appointed for the probate of wills and granting of Letters of Administration for the county afrsd. Appeared Thomas Hemmons one of the Subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will who being duly sworn on the holy Evangelis of Almighty God did depose and say that in his sight presense and hearing the Testator William Hanzar did sign seal and publish and pronounce the same to be his last will and Testament and that at the doing thereof he was of a sound Disposing Mind Memory & Judgement and that he himself with Robert Prettyman & John Hemmons Subscribed the same as Witnesses in presense of the Testator and at his Request
