I haven't had time to organize my notes about the SAMMONS Family because, so far, I have not yet found any SAMMONS in my direct line. However I do have some SAMMONS who have married into my family.

For information check out two brothers:

• Benjamin Sammons who married Lydia Munce
  Benjamin was born in DE in February 1837 and died in 1905

• Nehemiah Morris Sammons who married Mary Elizabeth Munce
  Nehemiah was born in DE in 1840 and died March 11, 1924.

There was an Isaac Sammons in Sussex County DE, married to Elizabeth Ridgeway, whose daughter Susan Sammons,(born about 1858), married Purnell Mosley on October 10, 1875 in Kent County, DE.

There was also a Sarah Sammons who was born in DE about 1823. She was the wife of Peregrine Handsor, also of DE. Sarah is believed to have been the daughter of a Benjamin Sammons and his wife, Sarah Richardson.

Sometime after 1850, Sarah Sammons Handsor and her family left Delaware and settled in Ontario, Canada.
