Araminta Sisco
Araminta Sisco was the daughter of William Sisco and his wife, Araminta Concilor. She was born in DE. in either Kent or New Castle Co. on 20 July, 1859.

Sometime before 1879 she married James K. Morgan. Family tradition says the couple met in Philadelphia where Jim K. and his brother had gone to work as carpenters at the Centennial Exposition. This is possible although they were not born , as tradition stated, in Lancaster Co., PA.

Araminta and James K. lived in Cheswold, across from the railroad tracks south of Rt. 42. They had the following children:

  2. Lillie Mae Morgan (1883-1940) married Wilbur MOSLEY
  3. Kenneth Morgan (b.1884) married Lavinnia MOSLEY
  4. Sadie Morgan (b. April 1885)
  5. Margaret Morgan (b.Sept. 1892)
  6. Edward Morgan (1894-1976) married Alice LOATMAN and Mamie Durham
  7. Alice Morgan (b. Aug. 1895) married David Payne
  8. Leomond Morgan (1898-1976) married Elva CARTER and Alberta HARMON

Araminta died in Cheswold DE on 3 September, 1917. She is buried with her husband at the Immanuel Union (Manship) Church in Cheswold.
