Isabella Sisco was the daughter of William Sisco and his wife, Araminta. She was born in Kent Co., DE. probably in Dover Hundred in 1844. She appears with the family in the 1850 Kent Co. DE census. She is, however, not listed with the family in the 1860 New Castle (Appoquiniminck Hundred) census.
On 1 November, 1866 Isabella married Isaiah Durham in Smyrna DE. The minister was William R. McFarlane. Isaiah is believed to have been the son of William Durham and Mahala Songo Durham. Mahala married William H. Morgan after the death of her first husband. William Morgan's son, James K. Morgan, married Isabella's sister, Araminta Sisco.
In 1870 the family is living in Appoquiniminck Hundred, New Castle Co., DE with 2 children:
William and John. By 1880 they are living in Philadelphia, PA.
Based on the census records, Isaiah and Isabella had the following children:
I don't have any information on when Isabella or her husband died but, per George Calley, a Delaware genealogist, they are buried at the Glenwood Cemetary in Smyrna, DE.
John married and moved to Camden NJ where he became a fireman. He
died on Dec. 1, 1910 and was buried at Eden Cemetary in Upper Darby, PA.
Nehemiah married a woman named Alice from VA. His occupation was listed
as "driver" and he lived with his brother John at 1628 Ferry St. in
Camden, NJ
