Dave Wright was born in Rehobeth Hundred, Sussex Co., DE on 25 May, 1846 and he died in Sussex Co. DE on 30 October, 1913. He was the son of Warren Wright and his wife Maria Sockum.
Dave married Emily C. Johnson , the daughter of Whittington Johnson & Ann Norwood. She was born near Angola DE, on the site of the present Philips Campground according to her son, Warren T. Wright.

In the 1870 census records, David and his family are shown living next door to my ancestor, Lydia Wright. Lydia was the daughter of Philip Wright who was Dave's eldest brother.
Dave Wright was one of the founding members of the Nanticoke Indian Association and his family, especially sons, Warren, Elwood and Oscar were very active during the organizations early years.
