Lydia Wright Jackson

Lydia Ann Wright was born in Sussex Co., DE. on 2 February, 1848. She was the daughter of Philip Wright .

Sometime before 1870 she married Robert B. Jackson . Robert's occupation was listed as "seaman" but by 1880 the family was living in Milford Hundred, Sussex Co., DE and Robert's occupation was listed as "farmer".

Robert and Lydia had the following chidlren:

    • Robert H. Davis (1891-1981) married Lillie May Johnson
    • Sarah Jane Davis (1894-1970) married James Wilmont Kirby
    • William H. Davis (b. bef. 1897) married Doris Elise Mosley

  2. John A. Jackson (1869-1939) married #1 Lillie Mae Harmon and #2 Lovenia Prudence Norwood

  3. Rebecca Jackson (1871- 8 Dec.,1958)
    She married a REED and is buried at Fork Branch Cemetery.

  4. Emma Jane Jackson (April 1874- ) married Alfred Mosley, the son of John Mosley and Elizabeth Johnson both are buried at Fork Branch Cemetery in Kent Co., DE

  5. Sarah Ann Jackson was born in Sussex Co., DE. in 1875. She married Perry Hughes and lived in Kent Co., DE. where she died in 1957. She and her husband are buried at the Fork Branch cemetary outside Cheswold. They had only one known child, Lydia Hughes (b. July 1897), but they raised many others.

  11. Arthur Jackson (Sept 1887 - ? ) who married Clara Harmon

  12. Clara Frances Jackson was born in Sussex Co., DE. in 1888. She died in 1937 and is buried, with her husband, at the Fork Branch cemetary in Kent Co., DE. On 4 June 1908 she married Wingate Burton Mosley, son of Purnell P. Mosley and Eliza Jane Johnson. Wingate was born 30 Jun 1882/May 1886 in Delaware. He died 4 Jan 1954.

    They had the following children:

    • Grace Mosley who married (1) Albert Martin and (2) Thomas Kemp. Thomas was buried in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, Kent, Delaware.[Notes]
    • Sarah Elizabeth "Lib" Mosley (1912-2000) married Norman Mosley
    • Jessie Leola Mosley was born about 3 Mar 1913 in Kent County, Delaware. She died about 1937 in Delaware and was buried in Fork Branch Cemetery.
    • James Paris Mosley (1914 - 1984) who married Grace Helen Simmons

  13. Levin Jackson (1893-1981) married Caroline Coker
Lydia died in Sussex Co. on 3 May, 1901. Robert followed her on 29 December, 1915. Both are buried at Indian Mission cemetery. Their grave marker is now much weathered and cannot be read but I copied the inscription many years ago.
