Philip Wright

Based on the census records, Philip Wright was born c.1825 in DE. By 1850 he was married and living in Indian River Hundred, Sussex Co., DE. His wife's name was Anna and they were living on the farm of Robert and Mary JOHNSON in 1850 , so it is possible that Anna was a "Johnson". Also living on the farm with Philip and Anna at that time was Elisha Wright (b.c. 1828) who was Philip's brother.

Based on information supplied by Sterling Street, Philip and Elisha were the sons of Warren and Maria Wright .

Among the children of Philip and Anna Wright were:

  8. Sarah Wright (b.1865 )
  9. Adeline Wright (b.1867 )
  10. William R. Wright (b.1869 )
By 1860, Philip was farming his own land. He was still listed as a farmer in the 1870 census. I have no information on Philip or Anna's death but Phillip was still living in 1881 when Orphans Court records were filed on his father's estate.
